Obituary of Martin Koenigsamen

Martin J. Koenigsamen, 56, of Freehold Township, NJ on Tuesday March 3, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Martin was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Bay Ridge before settling in Freehold Township in 1986. He was an Account Executive for Wausau Signature Agency, West Orange for the past 29 years. Martin was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. He was the cubmaster for Pack 358 and a coach and volunteer for the Freehold Township Little League. Martin loved spending time in his garden and would always rather be golfing. Surviving are his wife, Doreen Koenigsamen of Freehold Township; two sons, Jonathan Koenigsamen of Boston, Massachusetts and Andrew Koenigsamen of Freehold Township; mother, Theresa Koenigsamen and the late Francis of Summerfield, Florida; brothers & sisters, Frank Koenigsamen and his wife Ruth of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Theresa Pagnotta and her husband Joseph of Staten Island, NY, Julia Koenigsamen and her companion Janice Gutloff of Ocean Township, Stephen Koenigsamen and his wife Rosemary of Rutherford, NJ, Maureen Wrage and her husband Jeff of Wesley Chapel, Florida; In-Laws, Joseph and Frances Loftus of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, Colleen and Andrew Mazzolla of Brooklyn, NY, Jay and Regina Loftus of Rockville Centre, NY and Ted and Julie Loftus of Freehold Township; 8 Nephews and 5 Nieces. Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the rite of committal at the funeral on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold NJ. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
