My deepest condolences to Mr. Mironow's family. Coincidentally, I found among my mother and father's papers (Pauline and George Maximenko) a post card sent the day after we arrived in New York Harbor Pier 6 mailed from Valley Cottage New York February 17, 1951 to Mr. A. Mironow c/o my Great uncle Dmitry at Pond Road, R.D. #1 in Freehold, NY. They had known each other in the displaced persons camp in Bad Wurzach, Germany. The salutation was "Good Day Sasha!", Unfortunately, the post card was returned to my father stamped "Unknown". He kept it in his possession since the day they received it back. We don't know if Sasha and Gorgi ever connected! We have lots of pictures George took at the camp including a family boarding a train to America in 1950! Could Sasha be in that picture? We want to make that connection in his and my father's memory. Rest eternal! Lidia Maximenko Brookes Coconut Grove, Florida
