Obituary of Catherine Burns

Catherine E. Burns, 48, of Freehold Township passed away at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cathy was a massage therapist affiliated with Rutgers University sports programs until two years ago. Cathy was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Andriessen in 2011 and by her sister, Marie Cooper in August of this year. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Burns of Freehold Township; two beloved sons, Scott and Nicholas Baghsarian of Freehold Township; her father, John G. Andriessen of Howell; two brothers, John E. Andriessen of Hamilton, and Thomas Andriessen of Jackson; her mother-in-law, Janet Burns Honesdale, PA; two brothers-in-law, Mark Burns of Wellsville, OH, and Jeffrey Burns of Hawley, PA; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Katz of Hawley, PA. A receiving of friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Memorial Mass on Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.
