Obituary of Theresa Werner

Theresa O. Werner, 85, of Old Bridge passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Queens, NY and lived in Jersey City and Parlin before settling in Old Bridge. Prior to being a grade school teacher in the Old Bridge Township School District, Theresa, with her husband, George, were the owners of a State Farm Insurance agency in Old Bridge. Theresa loved world travel, visiting Atlantic City and summering in Brigantine and Hilton Head, SC. Along with her husband, she was a contributor and supporter of Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, George Werner. She is survived by three sons, George Werner and his wife, Nancy, of Farmingdale, Richard Werner and his wife, Nancy Duncome, of Virginia Beach, VA and Kurt Werner of Sayreville; eight grandchildren, Sean, Olivia, Erin, Kristin, Kelly, Katie Christine and Kurt, Jr.; and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 8:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2015 for the procession to her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, One North Main Street, Farmingdale. Entombment will follow in Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
