Obituary of Joan Cinter

oan Cinter, 71, of Howell Township passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Wedgewood Gardens, Freehold Township. Joan was born and raised in Newark and had lived in Irvington before moving to Howell Township in 1964. She was an elementary school art teacher at the Ardena School, Howell Township, until leaving to raise her family. Joan was an artist, creating portraits, landscapes, and still art in the acryllic and oil mediums. She also had a love for poetry. Joan was a member of the Freehold Art Society and a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She was an avid walker and bicyclist. Joan was predeceased by her sister, Adele Iwanski. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Cinter; two daughters, Carolyn Giovanniello and her husband, William of Morganville and Joanne Cinter and her fiance, Ed Price of Kaneohe, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Giovanniello; a mother-in-law, Gisela Cinter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Wright and her husband, T.J. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three nieces, Patty Allierri, Kathy Reusch, and Colleen Wright; and a nephew, Michael Wright. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 8:00 AM followed by her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, North Main Street, Farmingdale. Interment to follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall Twp.
