Obituary of Cosmo Verdesco

Cosmo "Gus" Verdesco, 72, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at home with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Gus was born and raised in Hoboken and settled in Howell to raise his family. He was a computer systems analyst for Insco/Continental Insurance in Neptune for many years, and also worked as an independent computer consultant for various companies. Cosmo built a beautiful life for his wife of fifty plus years and for his three girls. His favorite pastimes were reading, music and spending time with his family. Gus was predeceased by his son-in-law, Scott Stebbins in 2011. He is survived by his wife, Connie Verdesco; three daughters, Angela Verdesco-Greco of Colts Neck; Gina Stebbins of Mickleton; and Maria Rathyen and her husband, John of Jackson; six grandchildren, Gabriella, Trevor, Jessica, Madison, Lucas and Braden; and his brother, Corrado Verdesco and his wife, Ann of Nutley. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 8:15 AM for the procession to his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.
