Obituary of Ralph Critzer

Ralph A. Critzer, 73, of Howell passed away at home on Friday, March 13, 2015. Ralph was born in Nelson County, VA and was raised in Crimora, VA before settling in Howell 40 years ago. He was a welder at Machinery Maintenance and Roger Vogel trucking. He was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Ollie Critzer; his brothers, Summerfield Critzer, Harvy Critzer, Freddie Critzer and Charles Critzer; and his sister, Jean Via. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Sophie Critzer; his sons, Ricky Critzer and his wife, Tammy, Steven Critzer and his wife, Sue, John Coger and his wife, Elaine, Sam Coger and his wife, Carol; a daughter, Lori Harris and her husband, Jeff; his two brothers, Kenneth Critzer and David Critzer; his four sisters, Helen Via, Sylvia Cook, Betty Higgs and Laura Love; and thirteen grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 8:30 AM for the procession to the Church of St Veronica's, 4215 Route 9 Howell Township for his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ralph may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736 or Kidney Foundation of New Jersey, 201 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey 07601.
