Obituary of Nicholas Stepanenko

Nicholas J. "Nick" Stepanenko, 63, of Lakewood passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Nick was born in Belgium and moved to the United States in 1955. He lived in Howell prior to settling in Lakewood in 1987. He has worked at Nestle Co., Freehold for 42 years where he was a fork lift operator. Nick was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Stepanenko; and his sister, Nelia Zydiack. He is survived by his wife, Zina Stepanenko of Lakewood; his daughter, Nikole Stepanenko of San Francisco, CA; one stepson, John Dodds of Howell; one stepdaughter, Samantha Dodds of Monroe; two grandsons, Damien DiLuccio and Braeden DiLuccio; his brother, Victor Stepanenko and his wife, Karen of Pelican, Alaska; two sisters, Nadine Barbagalo of Newton and Nel Cross of Manchester; three nephews, David Zydiack, Michael Cross and Dominick Barbagalo; three nieces, Michelle Farrell, Donna Gratskowski and Nina Zydiack; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Mary's R.O. Church, Cassville Road, Jackson. Interment will follow at St. Vladimir R.O.
