Obituary of Monica Brothers

Monica D. Brothers, 62, of Howell Township passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York City, NY. Monica was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in the Rosebank section of Staten Island before moving to Howell in 2007. She was a supervisor of tellers at Chemical Bank, New York City for over twenty years retiring in 2001. Monica attended the Church of St. Veronica, Howell and was active at the Howell Senior Center. She had passion for traveling, especially cruise ships and had spent time in Italy. Monica enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving but her love was for her family. Monica was predeceased by her father, John Oseback. She is survived by her mother, Dolores Oseback of Lincroft; three brothers, John Oseback of Jackson, Michael Oseback and his wife, Tina of Howard Beach, NY, and James Oseback and his wife, Karen of Roselle Park; four sisters, Dolores Veniscofski and her husband, Peter of Marlboro, Nancy LaBarbera and her husband, William of Howell, Karen Devoti and her husband, Mark of South Beach, Staten Island, and Dawn Devoti and her husband, Harold of Lincroft; her goddaughters, Jessica LaBarbera and Nicole Catalano; six nieces; five nephews; three great nieces; three great nephews; and many dear friends. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Gabriel's Historical Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro, NJ for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Monica may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
