Obituary of John "Jack" McCormack

John “Jack” McCormack, 81, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at The Jewish Home, Freehold Township.  He was born and raised in the Astoria section of Queens, NY and lived in Woodhaven, NY before settling here in 1992.  Jack worked as an installation lineman for Verizon prior to retirement.   He loved spending time in Rocky Point, Long Island and in Cape May, NJ.  Jack could best be described as a simple man.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with family. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Marie McCormack.  Jack is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn McCormack; daughters, Shawn Shames and her husband, Barry of Freehold and Carolyn Kipp and her husband, Derek of Easthampton, MA; grandson, Eric Shames; brothers, Michael, Edward and Richard; and many nieces and nephews.
