Obituary of Stacy Harrison

Stacy Akstulewicz Harrison, 43, of Freehold Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Stacy was born in Red Bank and was raised in Freehold. She graduated from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC and worked there as a Research Specialist. While living in Greenville, Stacy met her husband, Shawn and they married. She was member of the Facebook Group, The Ancient & Mysterious Loyal Order of the Badass Jive Turkey. Stacy was a devoted wife, adoring mom, loving daughter, caring niece, dear cousin, and faithful friend.

She was predeceased by her mother, Hedwig and brother, Dennis. Stacy is survived by her husband of 17 years, Shawn; son, Leo; father and step-mother, Walter and Sue Akstulewicz; nieces, Lila Akstulewicz and Ava Akstulewicz; nephew Connor Akstulewicz; aunt and uncle, Joanne and David Mercadante; cousins, Nicole Mariano and Leanne Mercadante; and many dear friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services are being held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township from 12:00 Noon to 12:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to participate via Webcast through the funeral home website. Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall. A public memorial gathering and Funeral Mass to honor Stacy’s memory will be held at a later date. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Leo’s Future.
