Obituary of Vincenza Nuzio

 

Vincenza Nuzio, 102, of Manalapan passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 30, 2023. Vincenza was born in Manhattan, lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island before settling in Manalapan in 1994.  A woman of true devotion and faith, Vincenza was a former parishioner of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Brooklyn and watched mass every day on television. She was a homemaker all her life and also cut hair at her brother-in-law’s shop. Being a devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandma was what truly mattered to her.

Vincenza was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; three sisters, Rose, Millie, and Caroline; and four brothers, Charles, Peter, Sammy and James. She is survived by her son, Gerard Nuzio and his wife, Pauline; two granddaughters, Samantha Nuzio-Leo and her husband, Robert of Raritan and Danielle Nuzio of Manalapan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan Township.
