Obituary of Jean Longo

Jean Longo, 93, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born and raised in the Bronx, where she spent much of her life. Jean later lived in Eastchester and kept a second residence in Freehold Township before moving here fulltime in the early 2000's. She dedicated many years of service to The Bank of New York in Westchester, where she worked as a vault attendant. Jean was an active and engaged member of her community. She participated at the Howell Senior Center and in the Surrey Downs community. Jean was also active at Applewood and enjoyed her time spent there. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing Rummikub, exercising, and shopping. Jean was also an avid collector of Bradford Exchange pieces and Norman Rockwell collectibles. Jean is predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel; her brother, Ernest; and nephew, Peter. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and her husband, Allan; grandson, Philip and his husband, Alan; nieces, Vivian and her husband, William; nephews, Robert and his wife, Marianne, Rev. Edward and his wife, Leslie, and Peter's wife, June. All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown with her husband, Daniel.
