Obituary of Gaetano A. Trombino

Gaetano A. Trombino, 85, of Jackson passed away at Ocean Medical Center, Brick on Monday, October 6, 2025. He was born in Vizzini Pro. Catania, Italy and was raised in Argentina before immigrating to the United States in 1972 where he lived in Brooklyn before settling in Jackson in 2015. Gaetano was a loving husband to his wife, Rita, whom he met in the United States after leaving their shared hometown in Italy. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Gaetano was a dedicated Husband, Father and Nonno, always putting his family first. He was known for his hardworking nature and his skills in tinkering with things. Gaetano had a talent for real estate and investing, which allowed him to provide for his loved ones and secure a bright future for them. In his free time, Gaetano enjoyed singing, especially serenading his beloved wife with "mio amore." He enjoyed being a part of the Heritage Club at Four Seasons in South Knolls, where He formed lasting friendships

Gaetano is survived by his wife, Rita Trombino of Jackson; daughter, Josephine Verducci and her husband, Thomas of Freehold, two grandchildren, Vanessa and Thomas; sister, Sylvia Malkar and brother, Domenico Trombino.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, 361 Highway 79, Morganville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gaetano's name to the American Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Era nato a Vizzini, in provincia di Catania, ed era cresciuto in Argentina prima di emigrare negli Stati Uniti nel 1972, dove ha vissuto a Brooklyn prima di stabilirsi a Jackson nel 2015. Gaetano era un marito amorevole per sua moglie Rita, che aveva incontrato negli Stati Uniti dopo aver lasciato la loro città natale in Italia. Insieme, hanno costruito una vita e una famiglia meravigliose. Gaetano era un marito, un padre e un nonno devoto, che metteva sempre la famiglia al primo posto. Era noto per la sua natura laboriosa e la sua abilità nel fare le cose. Parenti e amici sono invitati a partecipare alla messa funebre delle 10:30 di lunedì 13 ottobre 2025 presso la Concattedrale di San Roberto Bellarmino, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
