Gina Marie DiMaria, 52, of New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on July 14th due to complications from surgery. Born on September 19, 1972, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the beloved daughter of John and the late Carmela DiMaria.
Gina is survived by her father, John DiMaria, and stepmother, Diane DiMaria; her sister, Michele Ioannides and her husband Mike; her brother, Christopher DiMaria and his wife Gina; her three cherished nephews Michael, Nicholas and Matthew, and her cherished niece Adriana; her loving partner, Joseph Crotty; and her adored dog, Rosie. She is predeceased by her mother, Carmela DiMaria.
Gina was a remarkable daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, friend, and partner - loved deeply by all who knew her. To meet Gina was to be touched by her warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, supported, and loved. If you were fortunate enough to know her, you are undoubtedly a better person for it.
A dedicated manager at Starbucks for 27 years, Gina brought her work ethic, compassion, and leadership into every space she occupied. She was a passionate volunteer for numerous causes, and her heart for helping others was unmatched - she would literally give you the shirt off her back.
Gina cherished walks on the beach with Rosie, weekend getaways to Atlantic City, and cheering on her favorite teams - the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Rangers. Above all, family was everything to her, and she made it her mission to care for those around her.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 20th from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a prayer service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
