Obituary of Barbara A. Astorri

Barbara A. Astorri, 74, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. She was born in New York City, raised in Union City, and had lived in Old Bridge, Howell, and Bradley Beach before settling in Freehold in 2015. Barbara worked for many years in New York City as an Administrative Assistant for Standard & Poor’s. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach. Most importantly, Barbara was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend.

She was predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Helen DePhillips. Barbara is survived by her children, Dawn McGuire and her husband, Paul and Daniel Astorri; grandchildren, Daniel, Laci, Logan, and Chloe; sister, Carol Meeker and her husband, Kevin; brother, Charles DePhillips and his wife, Marie; niece, Sue and her husband, Jeff; nephew, Kevin; great nieces, Emily and Abby; great nephew, Eric; and best friends, Mary Anne and Cathy.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a memorial service to begin at 1:00 PM.
