
Obituary of Ismael Maza Tuazon
Ismael Maza Tuazon, 82, of Manalapan passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Ismael was born in Bugallon in the Province of Pangasinan, Philippines and was raised in Dagupan, Pangasinan and had lived in Quezon City, Philippines. Ismael attended various trainings and programs while with IBM Philippines
Ismael began his professional journey in sales at IBM. In 1981, he and his wife immigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Elmhurst, Queens, New York. He launched his banking career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, where he dedicated 20 years of service. In 1983, Ismael moved his family to Manalapan, New Jersey, where he and his wife raised their four children.
Following his tenure at Chase, Ismael joined Santander Bank in Toms River, ultimately retiring in 2007 as Director of Internet Administration. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manalapan and Ismael and his wife, Ester, were members of the Mary Queen of Peace Prayer Group.
Ismael found great joy in gardening, traveling, and cheering on the New York Yankees. While he had a strong interest in computers, his true passion lay in woodworking and woodturning.
Above all, Ismael was a devoted husband of 56 years, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal brother. Held a great devotion to our Lady of Lourdes.
Ismael was predeceased by a brother. He is survived by his wife, Ester; four children, Ivan Tuazon and his wife, Michele of Somerville, Yvonne Stilton and her husband, Wayne of Beachwood, Pierre Tuazon and his wife, Maria Philomena, and Yvette Ruzicka and her husband, Pavel of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Shane, Jared, Jack, Alyssa and her fiancé, Joseph, Nicholas and twins, Ethan and Mia; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 for the procession to his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
