To the family of Rocco Dimeo, we were very sad to hear of his passing. I worked with Rocco during the AT&T days in Naperville, and he was our pitcher for the "famed" Turkey softball team (12", slow pitch). I pulled out an old scorebook from June or July of 1978, and Rocco went 2 for 3 in the game against the Magpies. Unfortunately, we lost 9-8. We had many fun times together post-game with pizza, peanuts and beer, as well as numerous Turkey flockings where the beer flowed freely and good times were had by all.
We were sad when his beloved Cathy passed away but Rocco persevered, and now they are together again. Rocco was always sharing a joke with his friends and had a great outlook on life. Rest in peace my friend, we'll meet again someday.
