Thank you for being my honorary grandmother. There was nothing I enjoyed more when we had family gatherings than finding a spot next to you on the couch and talking with you. I could talk to you for hours. Italian food, movies, how life was during the time when you grew up. I felt how much you cared about me and welcomed me into the family so quickly, and I loved you from the beginning for that. You always made me feel so comfortable and I could be myself around you. You were a spitfire just like my late grandma too! I hope you are getting to meet her in heaven. You two would be trouble together! One day I know I will see you again, and I can't wait to hear your famous greeting "MIKEYYYYYYY" which I always loved so much. I will miss you. I will always take care of Lali for you. It's been an honor having you in my life as my family.

Nanny, every moment or conversation with you the past 45 years of my life has been memorable! Probably inappropriate, too! You were everything to me. I remember you taking me school clothes shopping because you wanted to pick out the cool clothes for me! All of our day trips to the movies, the diner, the horse track. You were my Rock & knew me better than I know myself.

Your love for your family has always been admirable.
