Obituary of Robert A. Muehlbauer

Robert A. Muehlbauer, 91, of Lakewood passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Born and raised in Germany, Robert immigrated to the United States and lived in Brooklyn, NY and North Bergen, NJ before settling in Four Seasons at Lakewood in 1996.   He was a hardworking man who owned and operated his own flooring company, RM Special Coatings.  Skilled in artistry, Robert enjoyed painting and creating stained glass.  He was a kind-hearted man and lived his life to the fullest - the way he wanted.  Robert could best be described as honorable and selfless, respected by all.  Known as the “Mayor” of his Four Seasons Golf community, he enjoyed throwing parties with his friends and neighbors, and playing golf. “Fantastic”.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Anna Muehlbauer; and sister, Irma Becker.  Robert is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Maria Muehlbauer daughter, Diane Kuchar and her husband, Mike of Manalapan; son, Bob Muehlbauer and his wife, Gale of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren, Danielle and her husband, Rich, Michael and Ryan and his wife, Tiffany; great grandchildren, Ellie and Emilia; sister, Anneliese Knoerzer; and many nieces and nephews.
