Obituary of Nancy Jean Richardson

Nancy Jean Richardson, 85, of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, with her family by her side.  Born and raised in LaGrange, IL, Nancy moved to Washington, DC upon graduation from Nazareth Academy Catholic High School in 1957, where she met her husband of 45 years. They were married in 1961. Her late husband served a career life in the United States Air Force during which time the family lived in France, Maryland, Italy, and California. Nancy loved sight-seeing and camping and planned many family trips to see the sights in all the beautiful places they lived.  Upon retirement in 1994, they settled in Florida and in retirement she worked as a realtor for Exit Realty in Venice, FL.  She loved having the children and grandchild spend their holidays and vacations with them in Florida. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games, especially Rummikub and Gin Rummy.   

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Wayne” Richardson; and siblings, Barbara Marksberry and Glen Perry.  She is survived by her son, Eric Richardson and his wife, Michelle McConville of Farmingdale; daughters, Jenny Poudrier and her husband, Gil of Dunkirk, MD, Tara Bowman of Colorado Springs, CO, and Erika Mehrtens and her husband, Sean Black of Hillsborough, NJ; grandchildren, Kristin Bowman, Matt Bowman and his wife, Amber, Brian Poudrier, Madison Mehrtens, Nicholas Poudrier and his wife, Josie, Ryan Mehrtens, and Jake Richardson; great grandchildren, Oliver, Ridley and Fletcher; brother, Alan Perry; and cousin, Rob Dombro.
