Obituary of Juanita Durik
Juanita Durik, 74, of Wall, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She was born and raised in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, moved to Newark in 1962 and had lived in Linden before settling in Wall in 1976. Juanita worked as a Jeweler for Krementz in Newark, and was nanny and cleaned houses in Ocean Township and Deal. Juanita was a parishioner of the Church of St. Rose in Belmar, loved going to the beach, and enjoyed aerobics. From her time growing up on a farm in Puerto Rico, she knew how to tend to the earth and feed her family. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who showed compassion, empathy, and love for all.
Juanita is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael John Durik; two sons, Michael Durik of Wall and John and his wife, Staci of Argyle, TX; four grandchildren, Anastacia, Sophia, Lincoln, and Jack; and two brothers.
The family would like to thank all who cared for her, particularly her two angels, Amanda and Richard and especially Cris Brevante of the Philippines.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 8:45 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Rose, 603 Seventh Avenue, Belmar, NJ 07719. Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
