Alfred LaBianca, Sr., 76, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center. He was born and raised in The Bronx and moved to Middletown in 1972. After taking up residence in Toms River and Whiting, he eventually settled here in 2011. As a young man, Al attended seminary and made records with The Paramounts. He was a U.S. Army veteran and later worked as a bank manager for Wells Fargo in Manalapan prior to his retirement in 2007.
A quiet man, he was a loving and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Al was a Yankees and Rangers enthusiast, and a season ticket holder at Giants Stadium. His family was his biggest hobby and he was his grandchildren’s biggest fan.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeanette LaBianca of Freehold Township; sons, Joseph LaBianca and his wife, Terri of Jackson and Alfred LaBianca, Jr. and his wife, Christina of Beachwood; daughter, Christine Hughes and her husband, Brian of Freehold Township; ten grandchildren, Olivia, Alfred, Joey, Samantha, Nicholas, Brian, Tommy, Matthew, Peter and Michael; and his sister, JoAnn O’Keefe of Middletown.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will be private.
